This last week I was having a really rough day, so after my little boy was in bed I went to work. I have been really stressed with the thought of all the projects that I have wanted to get done before this baby comes. So I did the two things that I really wanted to get done.
The first was I love the car seat tent. Even though she will be born in the summer I hate when I go places and the baby isn't protected by anything. Also everyone wants to touch the babies face. Grrrrr.... I had someone sneeze on my son when he was just a week old. I fell apart. I mean I was a wreck. With this baby I really wanted to have one!
While I was looking for patterns I came across this one. I loved it! I did my handles a little different. I love how it turned out.
My little boy was the one that picked out the fabric. He kept saying, "Oh Mama, I love this. It is so cute." I love him. He is super cute!!! This is what it looks like on the other side.
Then when my son was born I had someone give me one of those burp cloths that were made from a cloth diapers. I used it all the time. Then my mom had another one made. They are awesome. I bought the cloth diapers and never made them. I have had them for 2 years. I was sick of them staring at me waiting to be made. I pulled out my scrap fabric, the cloth diapers and I found this tutorial.
It was SO easy. I thought that it would be harder. I did 9 in an hour and half. I also did two different stitches. She did a zigzag and I tried it. I am not a fan. Then I tried a straight stitch and liked it much better. Here is all of them that I got done. I am so excited to use them!
The girl ones.
I have no idea why the last one didn't flip. Alwell!
Here are the boy ones that I did for gifts.
I am so excited! I love that they are done. Plus, the fact that I had all of the stuff on hand. I didn't have to run out and buy all of the stuff to do these projects. Now on to the next project that is glaring at me.
What is something you need to get done?

I want to work on redoing our baby swing pad/cover. I am thinking I will just us the old one as a pattern and build it into the new one. I am also working on our garden and a desk for my nephews birthday on the 16th. But the garden really is starring me down in the face. I love you burp cloths. And your car seat cover is so cute. I love that pink floral fabric.
You did a great job! I love how well it all turned out. ;)
Both of these turned out great! I've made my own versions of both, and isn't it great that they are projects that don't take all day?! LOVE the girly fabric you used!
