Spring Scrapbooking Overnighter

After I had my son I felt as though I had lost myself.  I was kind a discouraged as we all get.  I was talking with a friend from church and she said, "Do you scrapbook?"  I said I tried to get into it but not much.  She said, "You should come to a scrapbooking over nighter that I go through."  I was really excited I have gone ever since!

In the beginning of April was the Spring Overnighter!  I had some much fun!!  Here are some pictures of our group.

The February Challenage

I have been wanting to do this for a while.  I have heard of people who do a 30 day crafting with only what they have on hand.   Well I am here to say today is the start of that.  I will not be going to the DI (or Goodwill) to buy anything.  I will take things that are giving to me, but I can't buy anything.  

Here are a few things that are on my list for the month:

• Fabric Flowers 
• Baby blankets
• Bibs
• Bow Holder
• Redo skirts into dresses
• Headbands
• Ruffle Bum Onsies
• Scrapbooking
• Cards
• Flashcards
• Finish my "beach bag" 

The sad thing is this is just a few things that I could  do with what I have on hand. If there is anything that you would like to see a tutorial for just let me know!  I will try to do tutorials for all of them.

Sure Cuts A lot 2

I have heard great things about it!  I hope I can talk myself into getting it for my birthday.  Let me know if you have heard anything about it.  I really want to get it! 

It has begun..

Last night after we put the little one to bed I got a bee in my bonnet.  I cleaned up the floor and then I walked past my sad craft room.  Then then I got the bright idea to clean it out.  Now mind you this is like 10 at night.  I have to show you how sad it looks!

These pictures are awful!  I am sorry we live in the basement.  So I started to clean it out to that I could organize.  I love that feeling of cleaning something and know thing it will be amazing in the end.

I wanted to list the things that I planned for this room.  You can see the frame that is sticking out, that will be painted turquoise.  I am not sure if it will be a dark or light.  Then I am going to cover a piece of sheet  metal with dark brown burlap over it.  I am super excited.  Then I have baby food jars that I will be spraying the lid and then putting a magnet on the bottom and using them for containers on my  magnet board.

My hubbie will be building me a table that will fold down when it is not in use!  This space is a little small, but mine none the less. I am super excited to be able to have a little retreat!

My Craft Room!

As most of you know that I just moved in with my mother in law and we live in the basement.  I know what you are thinking, a dark, dingy, basement.  That is not that case at all.  It is a great space.  Most of all, a closet, because the closet space is lacking.  Well we don't need alot of closet space so my wonderful hubbie has given me the ok to finally have a craft area.  Hurray!

I will have somewhere to have my Cricut, sewing machine and scrapbooking stuff where I can actually use it. I know I am jumping for joy.  Now this is the last place that I have unpacked because I knew once that was done I would not do anything else.  So I have made myself do that first and now that it is so close to being done I can start to think about how I want to organize and decorate it.  I am so excited!

I love this idea!  But I actually have a room, so no go.  But if you have a small space, why a great idea.  Or if you work at home and have toddlers, great option!

I LOVE these shelves.  I think that I will be able to use these somehow.  I am not sure where, but I will find a why.  I think that my colors will be a little brighter.

This is another thing that I LOVE! I want to do these for my craft room and also my kitchen.  I don't have one right now.  But when I get a kitchen I will have these! I have one already that I use for my scrap ribbon.

I will have these.  I was at the Di a while back and they had all of  their large frames on sale for half off.  I found one without glass, which is what I wanted.  I am going to get a piece of scarp metal and put a fabric over top of it and then I want to get these containers and use them for buttons and metal embellishments for scrapbooking.  I am so excited!   Do any of you have any idea where I can buy them that I would have to sell my child to buy more the one?

Cards...& more cards!

Here are more cards.  The other day my bestest friend Audrey came over and we had a blast making cards.  She is so talented and I am going to see if she will send me some pictures of the cards that she did.  They were amazing!  I should have taken a picture of what it look like when we got done!  It looked like a tornado hit my craft room. 

 I have a lot of baby showers and things coming up.  Which I am super excited about.  I have some of the gifts already made (I will post those later)!  However, I am running way low on the cards.  So I thought I would make a few.  I love these.  My friend Audrey has a white ink pad and she let me use it.  I am in love with it!

Then April is one of the busiest birthday months for my family.  Oh ya, and IT"S MY BIRTHDAY!  Ok so if you know me, you know that I love presents.  I am not greedy, I love feeling like someone took the time to get me something.  I know I need to be better, But I love them!  My favorite card is the yellow one!  It is super bright.
I was looking through my stamps and I am thought that this would be cute to do something that I could give that is kinda whatever I need it for.  But thoughtful.  I thought this would do the trick.  I am really excited to use these cards and make tons more.  I want to use all of the scraps that I have! My Scrapbook Layouts

I am super excited to show all of you my scrapbook layouts.  This will be a super long post!  But I am super excited to show you.

I love to Scrap!

I had some much fun this weekend!  I do a crop over nighter twice a year, that is put on by Creative Memories.  This year money was super tight and I was not going to be able to go.  I talked to my consultant and she was able to talk to the lady who runs it and we were able to get it so that I could work at this one and crop at the next one.

I must say that it was so much fun!  I worked yesterday for about 8 hours yesterday and then today I worked another 5.  I did everything from setting up to making page layout kits. I loved every second of it!  I am thinking about being coming a consultant for Creative Memories. I think this would be such a blast.  I would love to sell this great product and have a reason to scrap.

I also have an amazing hubbie who lets me have my time so that I don't get as stressed.  He loves for me to go do these over nighters so that I can regenerate and be a better wife and mom.  He gets it and I am very thankful for that. I was super silly those and didn't take pictures.  They have these huge tables so you can just spread your junk all over and not get in anyone's way. 

I get to go have my fun in April which will be so much fun for my birthday!  I am super excited.  I will have to take a ton of pictures and tell you all about.

If I do become a consultant I am going to do crops at our house.  I think that would be such a fun thing.  I guess that is what other consultants do and they do really well.  So much to think about!

Tomorrow I am going to post and show you some of the lay outs that I already have done.  I need to do some more.  I will be do some this Saturday with my best friend!  I am so excited.
