Tuesday Tell All #7

Welcome to Tuesday Tell All!  I am super excite about today's project.  I know that most of you don't have a problem remembering, but I have a huge problem!  I buy tons of stuff from the Di and then just pack it away.  Since we have moved I have been trying to finish my projects before I get more.

I saw a project the other day, where someone used a picture frame to write down all of their projects.  I thought that was a brilliant idea.  However, I forgot to copy the link, so if you know who did this I would love to give them credit.  So wanted to do one myself for my craft room.  I had just bought a frame that I didn't know what I would do with, but I knew that I would figure something out.  When I saw it, I knew that was what I should do with it.

I was going to do a tutorial, but then I forgot to take pictures in the middle of the process. However, this is how I did it.

  1. I bought a frame from the Di.
  2. Then I took the glass out and sprayed painted it bright red.  I love this color!
  3. Then I cleaned the glass and put it back in the frame.
  4. Get scrapbooking paper  and measure the frame with fun paper.
  5. Put everything back together and hang it where you would like it.
  6. Write ALL of the projects that need to be done.
  7. Enjoy!
This is  after I had spray painted it.

Here is how mine turned out.

I am crazy about it.  Hopefully this week, he will make the desk for my craft room.
(I can hope right)

My Craft Room!

As most of you know that I just moved in with my mother in law and we live in the basement.  I know what you are thinking, a dark, dingy, basement.  That is not that case at all.  It is a great space.  Most of all, a closet, because the closet space is lacking.  Well we don't need alot of closet space so my wonderful hubbie has given me the ok to finally have a craft area.  Hurray!

I will have somewhere to have my Cricut, sewing machine and scrapbooking stuff where I can actually use it. I know I am jumping for joy.  Now this is the last place that I have unpacked because I knew once that was done I would not do anything else.  So I have made myself do that first and now that it is so close to being done I can start to think about how I want to organize and decorate it.  I am so excited!

I went and visited good old Martha's website and this is what I found:

I like the clip boards, but I don't know if this is really what I want.  I think it is kinda modern.

I love this idea!  But I actually have a room, so no go.  But if you have a small space, why a great idea.  Or if you work at home and have toddlers, great option!
I LOVE these shelves.  I think that I will be able to use these somehow.  I am not sure where, but I will find a why.  I think that my colors will be a little brighter.

This is another thing that I LOVE! I want to do these for my craft room and also my kitchen.  I don't have one right now.  But when I get a kitchen I will have these! I have one already that I use for my scrap ribbon.

I will have these.  I was at the Di a while back and they had all of  their large frames on sale for half off.  I found one without glass, which is what I wanted.  I am going to get a piece of scarp metal and put a fabric over top of it and then I want to get these containers and use them for buttons and metal embellishments for scrapbooking.  I am so excited!   Do any of you have any idea where I can buy them that I would have to sell my child to buy more the one?

I can't wait to show you my before and after.  I hope to start working on this next week!  Thanks for stopping by!

It is FINALLY done!

It is done!  I think I could cry I am so excited,
THE CRIB IS Finally Finished.

All but the knobs which we will be going to buy the spray paint this evening.  Then I will be spraying them tomorrow.  My hubbie just told me that he will be setting it up tonight so I will take a ton of pictures and then I will post them.  So you can see what a great team my hubbie and I make.  He is just great!  But we need to let the poly sit for a while since it is so cold in our basement!  So stay tune for the amazing crib redo!

Harrison's Crib!

At the first of last month I told you all about some of my goals.  Well I am proud to tell you about at least one of my goals..
  • Paint Harrison's crib that we have had forever!
My hubbie has been awesome to help, when I get burnt out.  So I can't take all of the credit, he has been amazing.  We are almost done.  I asked him to help me get it done before Valentine's day.  We work better on a died line.  It needs one more coat of paint, then my hubbie is great with polyurethane, so he will be doing that.  I didn't have one of the beginning, but I have taken pictures the whole time we have been doing it.

So hopefully this next week will have awesome pictures to show you! Stay turn!

My New Years Goals!

I know that I haven't posted anything craftie for the last little while, I have been crazy busy with two sick kids (ok, so a sick hubbie and sick kid).  They both have had this terrible cold.  So my craftie life has gone out the window!

However, I have some projects that I thought I would let you guys know about.  One of the lest favorites is Getting all of Harrison's clothes that don't fit and put them away.  I hope that when I have another baby I pray that it is a little boy, otherwise I will have a little girl that will wear tons of blue!  Yickes!

Another project is painting Harrison's crib.  Now the story behind this is we bought this way before Harrison was even a twinkle in our eye!  We thought that we would be able to get this done fairly quick.  Almost three years later we are using our awesome neighbors crib!  This is one of the first projects that I would like to get done.

Another thing I need to get done is my hubbie's birthday is in exactly a month and I have way to many jeans that need to be made into a quilt.  He actually asked me last hunting season if I would make him one because he froze.  So two birds with one stone!  Sweet!  Let just see if I can get it done and find some cool material for the back that doesn't cost a bucket load of money.  I also will be showing you exactly how I do it.

Since we will hopefully be moving in the spring or sooner, I will be also dejunking our house.  I have been doing tons already.  I have way to much crap!  Wish me luck!

I also will be making some baby blankets and showing you step by step.  I have tons of friends that are having babies.  So I need to get that done soon.

So I thought that I will be letting you know what I will be doing the next little while!  I can wait till it gets warmer because then I can do stuff outside again.  Wahoo!
